Rally for Taylor

Because no one rides this road alone.

Rally for Taylor

Rally for Taylor is a free three-day adventure ride dedicated to supporting a rider and valued member of the wider motorcycle community, Taylor Peet, after a devastating accident left her with multiple injuries, including a T7 spinal cord injury. Her recovery will be long and costly, but she won’t face it alone. This event is completely free to enter but will be fully supported by our Vagabond Moto crew. Just a bunch of riders rallying together for a cause that matters. Entry is simple: Book your spot with us then make a donation to Taylor’s recovery fund and you’re in. Every dollar raised goes directly to Taylor to support her road to recovery! Riders can expect the full Vagabond Moto experience with our crew behind them every step of the way. It’ll feel like any of our tours! Flowing tracks, good company and the buzz of being part of something special, but this time the destination is bigger than any map.

Where you’ll ride

From the vast Mongolian steppe to the towering Khongor Sand Dunes, every day delivers new terrain and unforgettable riding. Expect gravel tracks, rocky climbs, and stretches of soft sand that test both skill and stamina — all set against landscapes that shift from icy gorges to glowing red cliffs.

This 10-day ride takes you across Mongolia’s rugged South Gobi. Out of Ulaanbaatar, you’ll roll through sweeping plains and into surreal stone formations at Ikh Gazriin Chuluu. The White Stupa rises like a fortress from the desert, while the icy gorge of Yolyn Am offers a cool contrast in the heat of the Gobi. Further south, the legendary Khongor Sand Dunes stretch for 130km — a rider’s playground of golden ridges known as the “Singing Sands.” The journey continues to the Flaming Cliffs, glowing rust-red at sunset, before looping back north through grasslands and granite outcrops. The riding is as diverse as the scenery: smooth tarmac, endless gravel, technical climbs, and deep sand. Some days flow with ease, others push you to dig deep — but every kilometre brings you closer to that raw sense of freedom that only comes on two wheels.

Where you’ll stay

When the helmets come off, it’s time to unwind. Most nights are spent in traditional Mongolian ger camps, with a few hotel stays along the way for a change of pace.

Life off the bike is as much a part of the adventure as the ride itself. The ger camps put you right in the heart of the landscapes! From starlit nights beside the Khongor Dunes to rocky outcrops at Ikh Gazriin Chuluu. Shared meals bring riders and crew together, whether it’s a picnic lunch on the steppe or a hearty dinner in camp. In Dalanzadgad and Ulaanbaatar, hotel stays add a touch of comfort before the next stretch of the journey. Wherever we land, the focus is the same — great food, great company and a chance to recharge for the adventure ahead.

what you'll experince

Each stage of the rally ends in a country town where the riding stops, but the stories begin. Riders regroup, refuel, and settle into the evening together, sharing a meal and a coupla' beers!

Post-ride is when the rally really comes alive off the bikes. Once the helmets are off and the dust has settled, we gather as a group to share meals, talk through the day’s highlights, and laugh about the tricky moments along the way. Local pubs and community spots provide the backdrop — relaxed, welcoming, and full of character. The big moment comes on the final night back in Bathurst, when the riding is done and the focus shifts to the charity auction. It’s the heart of the event, where mateship and purpose meet, and every bid makes a real difference for Taylor.

At the end of each day, riders can settle in however they like. Some will kick back in a country pub with a cold beer, others will roll out a swag and sleep under the night sky. Each town along the route offers different options, but the atmosphere stays the same — a group of riders brought together by the road and by purpose.

the story writes itself

ONE ROAD. ONE CREW. ONE STORY.

At Vagabond, we’re not chasing luxury, we’re chasing stories, dirt, and the kind of bonds forged only on the road. We ride hard, we laugh harder  and we back each other no matter what! We create journeys where the bush becomes your playground and the crew becomes your family.
